Nanny, Au-Pair or Live-in caregiver requirements

At ABC Nannies Canada Inc., we look for nannies that are competent and emotionally mature. Our nannies love children and enjoy family life. They must demonstrate a natural ability to working with people and be able to provide a safe and stable environment for the children in their care. Applicants must recognize the individuality of children and have the ability to provide a creative environment which fosters trust, self-esteem, independence and learning. We recommend that all nannies make a minimum one year commitment to their families.

• Love children and family life, like to have fun with children, willing to do housekeeping
• Have a minimum of 1 year of full time experience as a nanny or au-pair, a nurse, preschool teacher (montessori).
• First Aid and CPR (or willing to take it, if you don't have one)
• Childcare Education is a bonus
• Excellent English or French communication
• Excellent verifiable Canadian or Overseas child care references
• Criminal/ Police clearance
• Canadian or International Drivers license is a benefit

Looking to work in Canada as Au-pair? We have temporary Travel and Work in Canada program (Holiday work permit)in place for people aged 18 - 30 and who are citizens of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Republic of Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden and United Kingdom. The maximum validity of an employment authorization issued under this program is usually 12 months, but can be extended. Your Canadian work permit can be processed within few weeks at the nearest Canadian embassy in your country. When your work permit is issued we will be able to locate an employment for you with Canadian family. You will need to register with us online to start looking for employment as an International Au-pair in Canada.

ABC Nannies Canada Inc. will offer you support through the process, answer questions about the process. Once you are registered online you may be contacted to provide us with additional documents. In case you are looking to immigrate to Canada and looking for assistance we can recommend you to a certified Immigration Consultant who is a member of ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council).
